Information We Collect

CogQuiz collects information you provide directly, including:

Employer account information: Name, email address, company name, and payment information when you create an account or purchase verifications.
Candidate test data: Typing patterns, mouse movement data, response timing, and answers to verification questions. This data is collected to assess whether a candidate is human.
Usage data: Information about how you use our platform, including features accessed and interactions.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

Provide and improve our human verification services
Process payments and manage your subscription
Send results to the employer email associated with your account
Communicate with you about your account and service updates
Detect and prevent fraudulent use of our platform

Data Retention

Verification results are retained for 12 months from the date of completion. Account data is retained until you delete your account or request removal. Typing pattern data and behavioral biometrics are not personally identifiable and are used only for verification scoring.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only in these circumstances:

With your employer: If you are a candidate taking a test, your results are sent to the employer who invited you.
Payment processors: PayPal processes payments on our behalf. We do not store your full payment details.
Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+) for all data in transit and at rest. Candidate behavioral data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to individual candidates without employer-provided context.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to:

Access your personal data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data (where applicable)
Object to certain processing activities
Export your data in a portable format
